Croydon Wind Symphony

The Croydon Wind Symphony is our senior wind ensemble. Originally founded in 1971, the Croydon Wind Symphony boasts a regular membership of around forty musicians.

We perform regularly in the community through our own concert series and we compete in State and National Championships on occasion. The Band won the Victorian B Grade State Championship in 2000, 2002, and 2017, and was runner-up at the Australian National Band Championships in 2018.

The band performs in December every year at the Maroondah Carols for an audience of more than 5,000. In the past, it has played with Australian personalities including Barry Crocker, Judi Connelli, Colleen Hewitt, Tony Barber, and Darrel Cotton.

The band rehearses at Brushy Creek Hall, 435 Maroondah Hwy Croydon North, on most Wednesday evenings between 8 pm and 10 pm.
